Character: Jake English
Fandom: Homestuck
Time period: As Jane's starting the game.
Have you apped this character in another game?: Ahahahah no.

Character Background: Thank God for wiki links. http://mspaintadventures.wikia.com/wiki/Jake_English

Personality:

Jake English an adventurous young man. He loves to explore and try new things. He gets himself out of trouble with his trusty double pistols. He's a crack shot and an excellent chum to have at your back in a fight. He adores beautiful blue women and every movie under the sun! They are all excellent for viewing! He has a passion for skulls as well.

Jake can come across as a complete goofball, and on a top level he definitely is, but underneath his adorable buckteeth and jolly demeanor, he's actually an extremely capable and determined teen. He tries for the easiest and simplest solution first, but he has no problem pushing harder and becoming stronger to reach his goals. He views each new challenge as an adventure to be had where he can learn. He rushes headlong into danger eager to meet it, but he's not suicidal. He knows when to abscond rather than strife.

Despite his adventurous nature, Jake is not a very assertive guy. He's no pushover and will defend himself and his friends, but he's more of a reactionary type than forward mover, unless he's hauling someone to have an adventure with him. Jake tends to hold his cards close to his chest deliberating as long as he can about decisions that don't need to be made immediately. He gathers information and waits to find out more before he decides on his course of action.

Due to living on Hellmurder island with swarms of lusi around and no real guardian Jake has grown up very independent and resourceful. He can improvise and is pretty adept at surviving on his own and living with just the company of monsters and his own mind. However, Jake is also extremely loyal to his few friends and true to his own code of morals. Even though he knows Dirk is better with robotics he insists on completing the construction of the rabbit himself because Jade asked him too.

Third Person Example:
Well, that was certainly an odd but extremely enlightening correspondence! Jake thought to himself as he stared at the line that denoted Jane's leave taking from their conversation. He had certainly come to the wrong conclusion about her in a really boneheaded way, but that was alright, because everything had worked out for the best in the end. Jane was certainly a plucky girl that he might have enjoyed dallying with had her feelings shone with romantic light towards him.

Boy, was Jake glad she had straightened him out! Goodness, what kind of friend would he be if he had glommed continuously at the spurious imaginings of his good chum's feelings? And she had even been instrumental in confirming his other admirer! Jake had really not been sure about that at because Strider is such a complex and ironic dude. The auto responder was much more revealing than the fly gent himself. Now, though with Jane's handy advice, he needed to figure out how to approach Strider about this revelation.

He had blundered horribly along with Jane and Strider would certainly be a much more slippery target to corner cocooned in his fortress of irony and robotics. Perhaps if he dropped some delicately arranged inquiries in a conversation? He still did need to speak to Strider about what the devilfucking dickens the brobot was doing. He would have to plot thoroughly and extensively to find out how Strider truly felt towards him, if it was all really wooing, or just bro shenanigans.

No time like the present to start reconnaissance! Carefully Jake pulled on his skulltop again and moved to pester Strider. Only, instead of the familiar computer interface, he found himself falling asleep.

First Person Example:

What the devil fucking dickens?

[Jake pushs himself up off the sand and draws his pistols, observing the beach. It wasn't any part of the island that he knew, and he knew the whole place like the back of his hand. It almost seemed like he'd fallen through a transporter out the other side. With another glance around he selects his skull helmet and tried to pester his friends.

Unfortunately, it seems like he can't even really connect to to a signal let alone find his friends. He puts the skulltop back into his puzzle capture and holsters one gun.]

Time for an adventure.
